CASTORE CONTINUE MOTORSPORT PUSH WITH 24 HOUR LE MANS MULTI YEAR PARTNERSHIP
In the lead up to 100 years of the 24 Hours of Le Mans the world enters a new era in endurance racing. The Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) adopts a change of style, partnering with British sportswear and lifestyle apparel brand Castore, in a deal brokered by IMG. As the official outfitter of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Manchester based outfitter will be associated with the world’s oldest endurance racing event and in turn, the Triple Crown of Motorsport. The partnership agreement spans three years, and includes the 2022, 2023 and 2024 races, ensuring Castore plays a part in the centenary celebrations in 2023.
Castore have created a premium range of fanwear that has the essence of this racing spectacle woven into its fabric. Taking inspiration from pasters and artworks from past through to present, the designs have an inherent nod to the rich Le Mans history. This curated collection consists of t-shirts, polos, caps and more.
The hero products include the Le Mans Pique Polos, Le Mans Track Jacket and the Le Mans Cap. The Le Mans Pique Polos are reminiscent of classic designs of the endurance race’s past, with clean lines and strong colours. Crafted from a specially selected pique knit that is incredibly breathable, durable, and comfortable. The track jacket has the same classic look of the polos mimicking the simple yet effective designs of a driver’s race suits – constructed for comfortable everyday wear with a breathable and high-stretch material. Finally, the Le Mans Cap is a 5 panel hat that is a must have for any fan of the endurance race of the year.
The ACO is proud to be collaborating with a brand that creates garments of unparalleled quality and design. The partnership is based on the values shared by both brands: a passion for sport and innovation.
Stéphane Andriolo, Automobile Club de l’Ouest Director of Clients and Events says : “We are delighted to be associated with this rapid-growth brand whose premium performance wear is attracting attention in sporting circles around the world. The brand will be the official 24 Hours of Le Mans outfitter, with all representatives of the iconic race wearing the apparel.”
Rich Brooks, Director of Motorsport for Castore Sportswear adds: “We are overjoyed to welcome the 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the world’s most famous sporting events, to the Castore team. The 24 Hours of Le Mans represents cutting-edge design, engineering and construction and a continuous quest for improvement. That ambition is a perfect match for our “Better Never Stops” philosophy and our pledge to use state-of-the-art techniques to make the world’s best-quality sportswear for the most demanding athletes. We are looking forward to building a relationship with the Automobile Club de l’Ouest in the next few years, with campaigns that reflect the iconic status of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.”
