Exercise at the right time
When it comes to summer workouts, choosing when to exercise is important. Try to avoid the hottest times of the day which are usually around lunchtime to late afternoon. Ideally, plan your workouts for early morning or late evening when it’s cooler. This will mean you’ll be less at risk of heat exhaustion and be able to make the most of your workout.
Stay hydrated throughout
Whatever the weather, staying hydrated is important. However, throw higher temperatures into the mix and it’s even more crucial. After all, hot weather causes you to sweat more as your body tries to cool down. So, to keep up your performance levels and avoid dehydration, you’ll need to replace the water you lose by drinking plenty of fluids.
Always wear SPF
Exercising in the sun? Then it’s vital you wear SPF, especially if you’re unable to avoid the hottest times of the day.
