International Women’s Day - Red Bull Academy Programme
At Castore, inclusivity is a crucial part of our strive for better. This International Women's Day we’re celebrating the expansion of female participation and inclusion in motorsports with the Red Bull Academy Programme.
Showcasing a vast commitment to the future of women in motorsport, the Red Bull Academy Programme are tripling their investment and sponsoring three cars for the F1 Academy 2024 season. Welcoming three new drivers: Hamda Al Qubaisi driving for Red Bull Racing, Amna Al Qubaisi driving for Visa Cash App RB, as well as, Emely De Heus driving for Red Bull.
The F1 Academy’s marks a major step forward for women in the motorsports sector, with a mission to provide a clear pathway that ensures all women can fulfil their full potential in motorsports. The F1 Academy stands together to break down the historical barriers that have been in place for women over the years in the motorsports field, helping to encourage and expand the quota of female motor racers. The Red Bull Academy Programme exists to encourage more women to get behind the wheel from a young age and become role models for the future.
We’re delighted to accompany Pepe Jeans, Exxon Mobil, Sparco and Rokt, as official partners of the newly formed Oracle Red Bull Racing Academy Programme for the 2024 season and beyond. Womens sport across all sectors is currently growing at a rate that outperforms mens sports in the UK, and it is an honour to accompany Red Bull as they give wings to women within the motorsports space.
Hamda Al Qubaisi driving for Red Bull Racing spoke:
“My experience coming into the sport has been amazing, I started the sport when I was 12 years old and I followed the footsteps of my sister. From there the sky was the limit, I moved into Formula and it turned quickly from a hobby into a passion. It was really enjoyable for me and here I am now, I am part of the Red Bull family and it's a dream come true and I can’t wait to get started.”
“I am really excited to get started for the first round, especially here in Jeddah Corniche Circuit, it's such an amazing venue. It's one of the fastest circuits in the world, so I'm really excited to get started and it's close to home, so it's really special for me. “
